- Design a brighter more friendly color scheme
- Add a new section for fantasy routes

The term is "fictional". I don't want when I go under the east river I see mermaids, or when i'm on the el the train is attacked by dragons. :P

Anyway, I kind of like the scheme we have now, with our routes blending into real routes, it shows improvent from the BVE of 2003. I do think that we need a fictional section and at least have some first hand screenshots for those who do not wish to view the topics. Also maybe a route status chart, listing all the real and fictional lines, whether diamond or circle and their color(I.E the way we currently view the real routes on the downloads page)

There's one thing, on a serious note, I would like to point out. We need to create a better environment for this website. I'm not saying we shouldn't be strict to offenders, but there has to be a better way of laying down the rules and pointing them out. Maybe in maybe new members should have to read a "terms and Agreements" page before they can register(and they actually have to READ it, not scroll to the bottom like I do :P). It will be easy to start teaching those who are interested in the things we do if we can show them that we mean good.

As for tutorials. We need to revamp the tutorials section. The ones we have now are good, but they are jumbled up and there are repititions of the same tutorial. What we need to do is make a section that contains pictures, as well as info(even as an adult, pictures are still easier to read for me). And if those who wish to learn don't understand, we can use the abilities of the Teamspeak server to host classes. Listening is also up there with pictures.

This is just a phase, the bad repp and all, but I see BVEStation V5 as the cornerstone to a better developing environments for new members. We'll be back up there pretty soon, I know.

Tutorial pics for the route and object building sections would definitely be a big help for potential BVE developers and people who just want to make their dream fictional line.

I think more tolerance to constructive criticism would be better.

I've noticed numerous times that when someone offers a suggestion, somebody always starts to discourage the victim by saying things such as "you can't make anything better so shut up." I understand that sometimes you may have spent hours on a project, but this is a community and communities are and should accept critism for their work.

After all, perfection in one eye, might be a flaw in another.

The rules and regulation is something that needs to be addressed. Everybody before me has hit those points, but I believe that BVEStation should include some minor changes in this category.

Once again this community is about building things, and I don't think a screenshot should constitute as something drastic and debatable, unless the author has claimed something that is not theirs to be something that is wrongfully not. For example, panel modification. Somebody may take an old panel and upgrade it and then show the community what they did to it WHILE ADDRESSING THAT THEY ARE NOT THE CREATOR OF THE PRODUCT, but rather saying what they upgraded ect.. That shouldn't be copyright infringement.

Plus, respect is mutual which I think everybody should understand. Whether they are the basic gamers to one of the most respectable route developers, if you don't show respect to others, then others don't respect you.

We should also reduce the amount of flame wars over somethin' real stupid and little.

There is a big difference between providing helpful thought-out constructive criticism, and just being a perfectionist.
The way I see it...most of you may not agree but...I really don't give a damn is this:
-If you comment on someone's work...and like I said...give helpful constructive criticism as to how one can better their work...so that it looks better and gives the site a good rep or w/e, that's constructive criticism
-When you just want people to go out of their way to create routes that look 100% like real-life just to please you....that's basically being a greedy perfectionist because you don't have to make it....nothing's perfect...but we strive to make our stuff as close to perfect as we can with what we have.

We do tolerate constructive criticism...we wouldn't post pictures and videos and other media without the intention of receiving comments on our work...otherwise we would keep all our projects secret and post about them when they're done...which seems to be more effective...for me at least....I agree with "if you can't make anything better than shut up" and I stand by that comment...it speaks for itself...basically...if you're one that loves to comment on everybody else's shit...and not even attempt to try to make something on your own to compete with what you see as flawed work or whatever...your input is not needed and that's not constructive criticism so just shut up until you have something useful to say. It may sound a bit harsh but the world, especially the internet is a harsh place. So deal with it or get out.

As I've stated before...we strive to make our routes some of the best out there...seeing as were representing the United States in the BVE world as the only active BVE site(that I know of at least) in North America...we have to work hard...super hard to produce quality stuff...and the way I see it we don't have time to stop what were doing because someone gets asshurt by the way a coder chooses to defend their work, especially if its quality work and one person finds a tiny flaw in it.
