error46146:

Open BVE 0.9 has Just been released, right after i did my segment on BVEStation News talking bout 0.8 lol

Open BVE 0.9 though as much as i think its anti-NYCTA, i must admit you have to give it a try, its not bad! i was able to get around 15 FPS (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) on the old G so you guys would probably get like a trillion and also i was able to run MY E line at 5 FPS !! so yea i think you should really give it a try

So while i was blasting into roosevelt at 40MPH on openBVE, i discovered a new feature...DERAILMENTS!! (see attachment)

Now a few problems with open BVE :

1) Again the sounds are no good
2) the curves are all od
3) the train accelerates and brakes way too fast

but yea besides those its worth a try !

OpenBve sucks a whole lot
It accidentally my laptop.

Danny21:

i know openbve sucks as of now, but each version does get somewhat better and you have to take in that they are still experimental releases and i think that the official release of version 1 will be better

edit.. this version also has collisions with the preceding train.

this version also has a loading screen which tells you the percent of the route loading, unlike previous versions that were just a black screen

it now has a real start menu like msts or trainz, you pick a route and a train, no need for bve route randomizer or changing the train manually

it now feels like a real pc game with the menus, and exit screens, not just a freeware game

i think openbve has potential when the official release comes out to be a good game

Kamakazi:

OpenBVE is good. The thing I just complain about is what error pointed out and the fact that it uses OpenGL graphics to allow native support for Linux and Mac machines. What I would like to see is support for DirectX as well so you can switch between the two. I feel that this will stop the panel jumpiness that I experience while driving anything.

As far as the trains accelerating and braking too quickly, if you're willing to give the 'train.dat' a full rewrite to bring it up to OpenBVE's standards, then the train should have little problem with performance unless you really messed up somehow.

Building on that, the routes are displayed right, but again, some things such as curves just have to be recoded to appear and look right.

And error - Lol. You took down a R44. You could have just drove it into the ocean... There's a void beneath the tracks you know. :P
