Here are some shots of the new Jay Street - Metrotech transfer hall.







Not an amazing amount of people were using it (probably cause the R wasn't there when I entered), but it will sure be useful for the ones that need it.  And just in time for the winter, the people that get off at Lawrence no longer have to go out and walk through the Metrotech courtyard, to get to Metrotech.  Lawrence Street was actually about a block away from Metrotech, while Jay Street - Borough Hall is literally on it.

How comes in BVE its called Jay Street-Borough Hall? Are these two different things?

Jay Street - Borough Hall is what the station used to be called.

Just today they finished construction of a new transfer hall to Lawrence Street on the R, and renovation of the Jay Street - Borough Hall A,C,F Station.

The transfer hall connects the two stations, and they renamed the two stations to Jay Street - Metrotech.

So yes they are the same stations, they just renamed it so the two stations have the same name.

They renamed Broadway-Nassau to Fulton Street as well in Manhattan.  See how fast our BVE routes become outdated, lol.
