What's the deal with Hauling ass?

--
The (A) has got very slow in the past few years and that is one of the few spots on the (A) where the trains picks up good speed. But looking at that it looked like that T/O came in 42nd St the right way bc sometime I get pissed if the operator brakes early. But yea thats a bright spot in Manhattan on the (A).The only fast spots really in Manhattan is coming in 42nd and 14th St S/B and the stretch btwn 125 and 59 b4 the timers kick in around 86 and 81

I believe his term means that basically the operator is making the train run really fast.
Some clips were sped up, if I'm not mistaken.

Its not all about speed, its about safety for the passengers...and the T/O's don't want the first car in the tunnel.

You know, I'd rather be a little late, safe and enjoy a smooth ride than have an idiot derail the train on a switch... ring a bell???? There is WAY more to operating than hauling ass. The right way, is not 40 or 50 or w.e. every operator operates differently and have different instincts. Operators might brake early, because nobody is perfect... You want perfect braking? I would get on the L

I don't trust that CBTC crap.A few months ago while some trains were in stations with the doors open they would move a few feet. But perfect braking the trains that feel like that I would say the R142/A and R160's.But I'll leave it at that.
