NYC Transit Forums Exclusive. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has awarded an order for 135 new CNG buses to New Flyer of America, INC. All who asked for variety in the city, will now have their day! This is just the beginning of what will soon be a very diverse fleet.

It will either be C40LF or C40LFR

In addition, there's also supposed to be 270 test buses from New Flyer (C40), Orion (VII 3G) 2010 Hybrids, and Novabus LFS Low Sulfur Diesels.

What do you think?

Is it cheaper to convert a old train to new tech
meaning like to upgrade the old trains or to rehab the trains a bit if you understand what I mean.

nowadays it is cheaper to replace the older cars with newer ones instead of rebuilding them. I mean if it were cheaper to rehab old cars wouldn't the MTA be doing that?  :P
