This is the thread for how to install OpenBVE on the computer.

Step 1: Download the latest version of OpenBVE at the following address: http://openbve.trainsimcentral.co.uk/

Step 2: Make sure you have the latest drivers (Net Framework 2.0 or greater, a good video card) installed on your computer.

Step 3: Once you downloaded the file, you must extract the OpenBVE files onto your hard drive. Your best choice is to extract it (using winzip or any .zip extracting program) to your BVE directory. It won't override any file thats in your BVE directory.

Step 4: You must get all of the dependencies that are required for OpenBVE. Luckily you can download all of the dependencies attached on here. Download these dependencies and extract them to where you extracted OpenBVE to. Without these dependency files, OpenBVE will NOT work.

Step 5: Once you have all of these files, you should be able to open OpenBVE. Just make sure you set the route and train files on OpenBVE to where your BVE routes/trains are (ex-C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Route or C:\Program Files\BVE\Train). With that OpenBVE will work.

Have a nice day and more tutorials will be provided later.

does attaching those dependencies violate the EULA of the programs?

Through allotment of your opinions, you could dig up that awareness which you can’t catch from books or institutes. I like this way of sharing knowledge.  :)
