Since OpenBVE's development is now on hiatus, I have created a version of OpenBVE that will correctly play the run sounds of the older BVE 2 trains.

Download:
http://www.bvestation.com/OpenBVEMulti/OpenBVE2trainonly.exe

Installation Instructions:
Place this file in your OpenBVE directory, then double click to run it.
DO NOT REPLACE THIS FILE WITH YOUR ORIGINAL OPENBVE EXE.

Please test at your own will.  This fixes the run sounds of older BVE 2 trains only, it does not fix problematic older trains like the R62.  It also doesn't fix the BVE 2 trains that do work in the original OpenBVE.  So if your BVE 2 train works well on OpenBVE, using this may have the opposite effect.  So if your train's run sounds on OpenBVE are a little too fast, this will remedy that.  Remember, this is NOT a full fix.

The following trains have been tested and work ok:
Blackmanor1000's R68A
Trevor Logan's R142
Trevor Logan's R44

Yes, please download the latest version of OpenBVE, then put this OpenBVE executable in that directory.
