ipaclansite:

Hello everyone, NYCTBA is looking for employees to help run our transit system.  The New York City Transit BVE Authority manages all functions within the NYCTBA system.  Here you will be registered to be employed in the Authority, go through basic training sessions at the Motorman's institute then be assigned to work on a specific line.  Based on your performance, you will then get paid(in tokens) as you operate your train on your line.  As you keep working, you can advance yourself and eventually pick your own line to work at, with the amount of tokens you accumulated while working.

To show us your performance while you worked on your assigned line, you will send the director (most likely me) a performance log generated by OpenBVE (WHILE PLAYING IN ARCADE MODE)  In which you will then be paid based on your performance.  Dont like OpenBVE? well you'll be doing some more work, for BVE 2/4 you will have to manually report the time you worked, then give us the times you arrived, and departed the stations while also providing us whether or not you overshot, underrun, got perfect, and whether you were late or not.

There is also a BIG pay bonus if you are using the teamspeak and operating with others while working.  In which case, we will also hire dispatchers.  Dispatchers will be tricky though as they will have to record their performance either through recording of the teamspeak event, or somehow documenting the day's events.

So ready to work for the NYCTBA?  Register today, and get started in the Motorman's Institute.

Post here if you would like more information, and/or if you want to register.  We hope you see you here!

The following is a copy from coney's post

Since this isn't just you playing BVE and more of a "job" before you can be put in "revenue service" you have to go through rigorous but quick training or school car(Motormans Insitute) here you will learn everything you need to know in order to ensure a safe and efficient run

I'll point out some things

TRAINING:
-various signs you'll see that will aid in your operation (mph,GT,ST,etc)
-various train types and how to operate them correctly (the differences between SMEE and NTT trains, one handle and 2 handle basically)
-on the road training on different lines ( the BVE lines we have) in all 3 divisions (IRT, BMT, IND)
-knowing your train length and spotting a train correctly(60 foot vs 75 foot, stopping positions)
and other things vital in train driving

TESTING
When you complete training you will be tested on what you learned on the road. It wont be the regents but
just a test to make sure you're ready for revenue service because we can't just put anyone out on the road

REVENUE SERVICE
If you pass the test you'll be put in revenue service. But you have to start low and work your way up as you do in the real world. You will be assigned on Level 1 lines (shuttles) and based upon your performance on those lines after a few runs you'll be evaluated and promoted if everything checks out. As you move up senority plays more of a factor and you can have a say over which lines you want to operate. The lines are as follows

Level 1: Franklin Avenue, Grand Central, R shuttle and Lefferts Shuttle
Level 2: (Q)(G)(L)(7) lines
Level 3: (2)(A)(B)(C)(D)(E) lines
Level 4: You get to pick your own line to operate on, or be automatically assigned where needed
Level 5: The same as level 4, only you will also be assigned for special runs.
Level 6: Lines that have not been released yet since their "uncharted territory" spots on said lines will only be available to people on Level 3 lines who attend level 6 training

SALARY:
You will be paid a base amount for operating...deductions are based on whether you use openBVE or BVE2 or 4, and how good or bad your operating was...before "taxes" the token salary is as follows
Level 1 T/Os: 100 tokens per trip
Level 2 T/Os: 250 tokens per trip
Level 3 T/Os: 500 tokens per trip
Level 4 T/Os: 1000 tokens per trip
Level 5 T/Os: 1250 tokens per trip
Level 6 T/Os: 1500 tokens per trip

ADVANCEMENT:
Training to level 1
8000 tokens to level 2
18750 tokens to level 3
32500 tokens to level 4
50000 tokens to level 5
62500 tokens to level 6

You wanna pull some overtime? Go right ahead but keep the logs handy to show to a "payroll officer" to verify things and pay you correctly

keep in mind that's before penalty deductions...also using teamspeak with others is a 400 token bonus so keep that in mind as well.  There are no deductions for using the teamspeak, although there has to be some type of proof that you used it.  The dispatcher if there is one can testify or you can testify for each other.

Also...we may think about a BVE passenger economy lol...this means regardless of seniority you may be assigned based on rider demand on certain lines. But well figure that out later

Any suspected cheating/lying will be brought to the NYCTBA Inspector, for fraud investigation, which you may then be fired if found guilty.

Hope that clears things up...so if you wanna be  NYCTBA employee and help move "BVE NYC" lol sign up today

For dispatchers, they receive a flat pay then increase, and/or decrease according to their seniority and/or performance.

Dispatchers only have 2 levels.

Level 1 Dispatcher: 500 Tokens + or - accordingly
Level 2 Dispatcher: 650 Tokens + or - accordingly

To advance 25000 Tokens to level 2.

ipaclansite:

You can use BVE, but you will have to manually write your log.

Read my post above...
You'll be doing some more work, for BVE 2/4 you will have to manually report the time you worked, then give us the times you arrived, and departed the stations while also providing us whether or not you overshot, underrun, got perfect, and whether you were late or not.
