RI4EVER:

Hi
I am new to the world of BVE. I downloaded version 2. Also used some of the tutorials here that were helpful in getting me going.

I did download some trains, R1 and R32. In addition I downloaded some routes.
From what I read so far, the fIle tree structure for BVE has to be BVE,RAILWAY, etc.
I thought I downloaded the files correctly in each directly. However, when I want to run say the A train and use R-1, the directories are not there.
Question, is there a specifc method in downloading the trains and routes, or can I move downloaded file to the proper directory.

Thank you all in advance for assistance offered.

If for any reason the file was downloaded as a zip or a self extracting archive, you can extract it to a convient location to you, and you can always move the files in manually.  Supposedly we have a file structure currently under construction, but soon you'll be able to see how it is.

For now though, yes the file structure is something like this:

Train
-Train

Railway
-Object
--Object Folder
-Route
--Route files
-Sounds
--Sound Files etc...

When you download something, thats where the files go.

Hi

Still could use an assist. As stated earlier, I did download a couple of routes and the R! and R32 trains.

Then I launched BVE, selected the route, then the route in the panel , lower left side. But I rec an error message train not found. I checked the train directory and the R1 is there.

What did I do wrong ?

Thank you !
