Conductors Panel for OpenBVE

Pages: (1/1)

mtaboy94:

I am currently working on a Conductors Panel for OpenBVE, so you can simulate being a NYCTA Train Conductor.
This panel, will include the views that the conductor would see and use. It's your job to use them, and do your job as a condcutor.

This Panel, will be a modification of each NYCTA Cab (If availible) to be used as a Conductor. I will configure the buttons in OpenBVE so you wil be able to fully function the controls.

These Conductor Controls will include:

1) Doors. Fully Functional Doors for your operation. You close and open the doors when, and where you want.
(OpenBVE standard for Manual Doors already implace)

2) Views. You will have a varried ammount of train views at your disposal
(Passanger, Front of Train, Back of Train).

3) Announcments. Control of automated announcments (Or if in older train, you say them). Specialty Annoucements (Dispatch Train Holdings, Immediate Train Evacuation).

More Updates soon!
Any suggestions/comments/concerns write them here or AIM me at MTABoy94!

In order for this operation to be completely successful, you would have to input moving doors which I have yet to learn how to code. Otherwise, it would be boring as just watching a light flicker on and off.

Here's something I want to ask - is this conductor's panel going to be placed into the interior views of cars?
That would mean in the R62 and R62A interior, you would have to make a space for the conductor's cab, and close it with the view of the train end with the door leading to the cab (The doors don't have to open, either). That way, openbve riders can move their camera to the driver's seat, and it will all match - as when you drive a train, you should be sitting at the left of the train and not see the whole cab window at the center of the train. With that you could make the full view and space of the cab - with the R62 door controls behind you, and the motorman controls in front of you, and the side windows as well. I am trying to make my description clear and short, but it may not be enough. If you don't understand feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to clarify what I an asking (even though it may not happen until in the future!)!

For stuff like this, it would be a dream come true - but I can tell this will need time before it becomes reality. Work on it, mtaboy94, and let us know of your progress and how it goes  :D !

conductor sim would be fun if the passengers were moving and you can close the door trapping some halfway and give the t/o the go.
